From my home studio in Palmerston North, New Zealand, I create hand-thrown ceramics that are made to be used and loved in everyday life.

Summer Ceramics is a small home studio – just me (and my dog Indi, who keeps a close eye on things), a wheel and plenty of clay-covered clothes. Each piece is thrown by hand, and made with quiet intention.

There’s something incredibly satisfying about turning a lump of clay into something useful and beautiful. Over time, what began as a hobby turned into a bit of an obsession… and eventually, Summer Ceramics was born.

My work is inspired by simple forms, subtle texture, and a sense of calm. I believe the objects we surround ourselves with matter. A favourite mug. A bowl that fits perfectly in your hands. A plate that turns a quick lunch into a little moment.
